• A great village local, with a very friendly host, albeit him being an eggchaser. Had a very enjoyable evening watching the dominoes teams in action, all washed down with a great pint of Theakstons Black Bull brew. Very enjoyable.

• We use this pub very frequently and have also been served good food and ale, I do know they had an issue with the cellar cooling in December as we came in and the landlord explained the cask was off, but we always have a good experience. As a minor point did King Curry point out the problem to the landlord, or did he wait to get home and become a keyboard warrior ? as the landlord always seems very approachable and happy to right the wrongs.

• Stopped by for a pint and the beer was served warm and absolutely horrible. After letting it cool(!) to pub temperature I was able to drink it but that it was served like that shows an abysmal lack of cellar craft. I will not be returning.

• We found it hard to recognise our local from the description in Graham's review! There is always a good choice of beers and the food is simple but cooked well. Graham should visit on quiz night - 9.30. Wednesdays. Free and a lot of fun!
