• Had a meal here last week on the way back down South. Food wasn't fancy, but nice and fresh and well presented. The staff were very helpful and friendly as were the locals. It's not cordon bleu, but good value for money pub food. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back if in the area again.

• Great little pub, cozy atmosphere and friendly locals. We came for a week and ate here a few times the food was fantastic, I especially liked the pâté. Next time we come I will most certainly look to stay here instead.

• We visit the pub regular and disagree with the recent comments Lillian And Kenny are very welcoming and we eat regularly and have always enjoyed the food as most of our friends do. What we do like is the pub has kept its original character with welcoming hosts.

• A pub that has lost its sparkle. The food is very plain and substandard pub grub. You get the impression that they cannot be bothered. Even the locals avoid it.

• great little pub host kenny and wife lillian are just the couple to make you feel welcome. food cooked by lillian is really good fresh and tasty and staff are really pleasant and welcomong
