• The worst fish and chips we have ever had, how can someone cook something so bad?? We were told by others on the caravan site not to use it as it's got a terrible name since changing hands so make sure if you want nice fish and chips to go elsewhere.

• I bought 2 lots of cod and chips from this place they were awful never tasted anything so greasy. Read some reviews on the Facebook page which were pretty bad but like to make my own mind up I should have listened to the reviews how right they were. Went to put my comment on but the page isn't there anymore that says something?? We chucked the food out and they left a horrible taste in the mouth what we did have, ended up going to the one in caister near the beach that were nice.

• Horrible woman in that shop, must be the owner, she was awful to a customer was complained about bones in her fish even though they said they had taken them out. Her child had choked on them. Don't go there and give them your money go elsewhere, good one near the California tavern.

• Awful. Rude obnoxious staff, grubby hands, wiping nose and not washing hands then handling food. Chips burnt, batter raw on one side, burnt on other, fish tasted floury and looked grey! Used to be nice. There's a nice chippy in California now that also deliver, failing that have beans on toast!

• I bought 2 lots of fish and chips from here but I wouldn't go back for anymore. Swimming in grease left bad taste in your mouth. We used to go here last year and they were very nice. Looks like new people, obviously new to the trade.

• Horrible fish and chips, don't go there. Never eaten anything so greasy you can see the fat dripping off the fish when you picked it up. Made me sick to the stomach had to chuck it. They don't know what they are doing in that place, won't EVER go there again. Shame as it used to be good.

• Absolutely disgusting fish and chips, brought some tonight for husband and 3 young sons, was the worst fish and chips ever had. What fish and chip shop owner doesn't remove the bones from their fish. None I know of. I was going to give my two year old the fish! Had to cook something else. Will not be returning and will be telling others to avoid also.

• What a circus in that shop, they don't know what they are doing, it would have been amusing to watch if I wasn't so hungry. Someone ordered over the phone but they served the chips to the man in front of me making him wait longer. What I did have was over cooked and greasy. Bye ormesby chippy i won't go back

• The worst fish and chips I have ever had, we went there last year and they were good don't know what has happened. The woman behind the counter was rude when the person in front complained I was embarrassed for the customer! Won't be returning to this one that's a dead cert.....

• New owners, gone downhill already which is sad. Chips full of eyes, fish full of bones and greasy. Doggers place in Caister I would recommend now.

• Went to ormesby chippy tonight the wait was so long it was a joke finally after half an hour we got our fish and chips well I got them home and I can honestly say after using the chippy for 16 years and they were always fantastic not now they were over cooked there were bones in the fish and I threw most of mine away I will never go there again I guess it is under new management because I didn't recognise any of them goodbye ormesby chippy....

• New owners since Nov 15, gone downhill already. Avoid unless you want greasy chips and stodgy batter round fish that is full of bones. Go to Caister if you want good fish and chips and a friendly welcome.

• Beautiful traditional experience, great food, excellent service and lovely green to sit and eat my fish and chips. My kids also enjoyed playing on the park while we waited for our food.

• Brilliant chip shop. Chips are beautiful and soft and the fish well that's to die for. Very nice indeed. Staff are very pleasant and work as a team. This is the only chip shop i will be going to from now on. Well done
