• I booked a table for 5 people for 7pm. On arrival all four tables were occupied and we were told by the very condescending landlord to go and get a drink and when a table comes free he would let us know. By 8pm we did'nt have a table, the landlord came over and told us what we could'nt have on the menu - which was most of the dishes!His manner was very abrupt and rude. By this time we'd had enough and left. We found a Chinese restaurant in Beefton with smiling and very friendly staff and delicious food. Go there instead!

• This is a lovely country pub with a friendly, welcoming landlord. The food is excellent pub grub. They specialise in all sorts of delicious pies, but their steaks are great to. The portions sizes are generous and the chips are proper chips. All in all an excellent place to eat and drink.
