• We have had the pleasure of visiting the black bull on a few occasions this year. The first time while staying at barmston beach site in a hired caravan from 31st August to 7th September 2013. Myself and my husband took my elderly mother to the black bull a couple of evenings for a drink and a meal. The food is fantastic home cooked excellent value. The bar staff were lovely and made is feel at home the locals were great company so much so that my husband and I made sure we stayed near this pub on our next holiday in our camper van. We stayed from 23rd September for a week at the Southview campsite which was fantastic. We were once again made to feel very welcome at the black bull. We will be coming back again and again

• The place as really gone to rack and ruin. We have been coming to Barmston for over 20 years. The Bar staff are ok and the Landlady who does the cooking she's ok all though the food was not bad but Microwaved. Locals not too bad apart from a few who like to swear and we noticed the bar staff swearing too. The problem lies with the guy who says he's the site manager. God he would fall out with his own shadow he's so far up himself. Nobody like the guy at all. Its not the same place it used to be and never will be whilst this lot are running it.

• I have never been in a place like it. Hated every minute left our drinks and went. Loud mouth customers swearing all the tim and in front of children. Dogs In the pub were food is. A dump and beer is lousy
