• On Sunday we set of for Lavenham with the intention of lunching there. Passing through Kersey, we decided to pop in to the Bell Inn for lunch. Excellent pub. We ordered the Sunday roast. Potatoes, vegetables perfect. Beef? Wafer thin, microscopic portion size, 30%-40% fat. My partner left hers and i picked at mine. We regretted stopping. The week before we stayed at the Blue Bell Inn at Crookham, Northumberland, by the Flodden battlefield. The meals were virtually perfect. Well worth the trip.

• We popped in as we were passing through, as was pleasantly surprised. What a lovely pub - nice food, pleasant staff, comfy sofa's. We spent several hours in here relaxing, and would definately return and recommend.
