• Having visited this fish bar this evening, how disappointed where we, outside it says best fish and chips in the south.......! The chips where cold over fried to the point they where dry used the wrong sort of potato, old and refried, the fish was grey, tastless, batter chewy than crisp, fish still hadskin on it of which I hate and it was full of bones which suggests to me they are to lazy to prepare it correctly. WHY can people who run chippys in the south not make good batter. Its simple really. I suggest they go to Redcar in Yorkshire a company called Seabreeze they are the finest fish and chips anywhere, contact them they will tell you how to make batter. Best chippy here is Cass bar at Tidworth he nearly has the perfect batter. And the fish is fresh. RANT OVER but wont be going here again .
