• Badger beer - always a good hit with my husband. Nice selection of wine. Pretty pub with good beer garden for the kids. The food lets it down a bit unfortunately.

• Some changes had taken place from our previous visit, noticably the decoration and change in management. The pub reknowned for good food is no longer. Very basic and uninspiring. It all seems a bit cheap looking with garish paintwork, plastic flags and flowers in water jugs. The older lady who served us was abrupt and unwelcoming. The introduction of some new garden tables was welcoming but not enough to make us return.

• We ate here a couple of weeks ago but were not impressed. The meals were very basic and poorly presented. My fish pie was salty and the mash was cold and lumpy. The food has taken a nosedive for sure. Such a pretty traditional pub which now seems spoilt by new green paintwork which is not in keeping with olde worlde style pub. One to avoid now unfortunately.

• Me and my wife came here last summer and it seemed like a nice place we thenI came again and was told it had been taken over by new management. The staff were welcoming and it had a nice atmosphere however I was personally disappointed by the man I was informed was the new management. He appeared to have a bad attitude and despite the fact we made conversation with him and asked about local places to go he was very blunt and unwelcoming. I was however impressed with the place itself, it seemed cleaner and had a better layout then of previous. However there was another couple who did not like the quality of the food. Nice pub and staff overall and will be visiting again to try the food.

• Firstly I strongly disagree with misssomerset..!!!. I found the landlord nothing but polite, welcoming and helpful... Cannot fault the food, it was fab!! I have and will continue to recommend Ye Olde Poppe Inn to all I know... Well done guys xxx

• Are regular visitors to this pub and have found in the last few weeks that the new menu is of much better quality and certainly cheaper than of previous. The whole place looks and feels cleaner and theres a much friendlier and warmer atmosphere. Keep up the good work!!

• Downhill fast!!!since the new management took over in oct 2012 this lovely local pub has lost it's atmosphere, landlord needs to learn some manners and the food has dipped in quality, takes ages to arrive, veg is raw and the whole experience is rubbish, what a shame

• I have recently been on holiday in the south west and came across this pub whilst on my way to Lyme Regis and was so glad to find a pub that had friendly service, reasonable prices and good quality freshly cooked food.I will definitely be paying a visit to the Poppe Inne again next time I am in the south west
