"The White Horse is a family run free house located in the attractive village of Llandyrnog, offering a warm welcome great beer and a large menu, It has an excellent reputation for good home cooked food made from local produce, the meat is local with names of the farms on a board in the bar area which changes weekly. Next to the White Horse is the medieval Parish Church which is open during the day; it has a rare �Seven Sacraments� Window and contains glass dating form the late 14th century or early 15th century. There are only nine of these windows in the country, and this is the only one in Wales. Between the Whiter Horse and the church is a section of the �Llwybr Tyrnog� footpath � a beautiful circular walk taking in a largely unexplored part of the Vale of Clwyd. The walk is three miles long and offers wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. An informative booklet about this walk is available in the White Horse.As well as Llwybr Tyrnog, there are a number of other footpaths of varying distances in the area, and close by is the Clwydian Range, a designated �Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty�, and one of only eight Protected Landscapes in Wales.
