• I booked a table for a birthday lunch, the service was a little lacking, one of our party decided not to eat due to 4plates being dirty which put him off! I noticed that although separate carving knives were supplied for each type of meat only one was used which I believe is a food hygiene hazard. However the food was good and those who ate enjoyed it. I would say that they need to up their game if they wish to keep people coming. Would I visit again? No

• We visited the restaurant on Sunday after having pre-booked a table to enjoy the carvery. This is not the first time we have eaten here and it has always been very enjoyable. However, we have found that it is under new management since sept 2012 and to our amazement, they ran out of meat by 4pm and we were left wanting.. we had to go and find another venue to eat. Other diners had explained that this had happened previously, so my advice would be to stear clear for the moment and check again once the new owner has got his act together maybe.
