• What a delight to find this gem of an English pub on my travels. Spent an afternoon here in a quiet corner writing my thesis on the origins of English phrases, and was very lucky that most of the regulars being graduates of varying arts were able to assist me when I was at a loss. Sampling the many top of the range whiskeys and debating the differing interpretations of Homer and Euripides, an intended hour soon became 4. This could have been what happened or maybe I was totally bladdered and like to see the best in people, anyway I like it and would recommend it.
