• I have to disagree with the previous poster, I also had a Christmas party here a few weeks ago and was very satisfied and impressed with the venue and service. The food was also lovely. Would recommend it anytime, well done!

• My mother had the misfortune to have an Xmas lunch here ... recently . The group was seated in a freezing cold , drafty marquee with the wind drifting under the flooring. The cooked Xmas dinner was on cold plates . She felt she was unable to complain at the time , as being 83 years old,and disabled. she came away numb with cold , She was dressed for the cold with layers and boots , but the place was so cold the majority of the party kept there outdoor coats on. Obviously the landlord/manager , has no idea how to cater for a group of older people who are expecting warmth of a cosy pub and a hot xmas dinner . I know if their mother or grandmother had experienced such a miserable few hours in a so called licensed pub/ restaurant they would have it closed down . I hope other customers take notice of this comment . I rate it less than 1 star
