• A few months ago, I applied for a nanny job advertised by Top Notch Nanny Agency. From my arrival (being patronised and shouted at on the phone when I asked about the office location) to my departure, I couldn't believe the unprofessional attitude and rudeness displayed by company owner Jean Birtles. I've worked as a professional nanny for 8 years in London, registered with multiple agencies, and I've never come across such negativity and rudeness. When asked for my nationality (Spanish), Jean laughed hysterically and then asked if I'd be "able to write" when asked to fill-out the registration form. This attitude and rudeness literally had me looking for a hidden camera in the office, as it really felt like a mean prank, as I couldn't believe anyone could be so mean-spirited, especially someone who claims to care for children. I wonder if she treats the families who pay such high fees for her services in the same way...
