• Went into tesco after a few drinks (not many).i was scanning my shopping when a elderly peroxide blonde member of staff accused me of trying to steal a packet of scotch eggs !!! The machine went wrong and she thought I was stealing . The cheek of it . She should learn to speak to people not accuse them of stealing . I will make a formal complaint.

• Just too large which involves time walking and looking. I can think of better ways to get exercise. Not many staff to ask for assistance and when I eventually find one they don't know but send me in the wrong direction anyway. Saving grace the butchers. The young butcher is friendly, knows his stuff and so helpful. Meat on this counter is also very fresh and good quality.

• This store's management need serious reviewing. Their Deputy Manager and Grocery Manager are extremely rude and very arrogant. They think they own the store. I have seen them being very rude to colleagues and sales reps. Really terrible. A shame that these idiots work for such an esteem organisation.

• I have been shopping at Tesco, Purley Cross for the past 13 years. I just love shopping there. It is like home from home. I have tried other supermarkets but I just cannot feel the same way as I do @ Purley Cross except the new store in Salford Greater Manchester, when I visit my daughter. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. Goods are usually at a high standard. The refurbished store is just amazing, The clubcard vouchers are a genuine incentive, My 4 year old grandaughter thinks Tesco is the only store she can go to get what she wants.

• I am usually happy with the level of service in Tesco, Purley. Naturally with Easter around the corner there is an alarming amount of customers queing in the aisles. Not surprisngly there were no dividers to separate the groceries on the conveyer belt. So as you do I used the next aisle divider (they had more than one). As I turned my back 10-15 seconds later I hear " It's just as well I had a spare one." This was coming from Tescos sales assistant who shall not be named. I can take sarcasm, jokes but no one was smiling and to be honest time had lapsed before the punchline could kick in. Now I am a regular there and I have worked on supermarket tills but never made remarks like that, so it was not necessary.

• I go to Tesco Purley for the last 5 years and I completely disagree with the above reviewers. There are few employees who are little rude, but I believe it is same everywhere. This is a very good Tesco at a great location, possibly one of the best Tesco I've come across till date. They have huge stock and very good collection of Indian groceries.

• The Tesco security is just too intense, in every aisle you can feel the employees breathing through your neck, it would be fine if you weren't asked for a bag search every five minutes, which is common for me (teenager)

• Normally I don't shop at Tesco, but their fillet steak takes some beating, so once a fortnight I battle my way through what Tesco call 'service'. The steak is worth it - just. Today, 22 June 12 there were no small baskets so I had to push through the queues at checkout to get one. An hour later the customers were still battling through the queues at checkout to get a basket. In fact, they had to push through a Tesco employee called Janice, who was too busy talking to her mate in the queue to notice a lot of customers trying to get baskets. There were other Tesco employees around, but eventually I went to Customer Service to ask that baskets be put out. As all this was going on my husband was doing our weekly shop.........at Waitrose! Tesco either employ the wrong people, or they aren't trained well enough for them to notice their customers, who of course keep them in a job. My rating is for the steak and the man who sold it to me.
