• went for meal at dinnertime and were only ones there but we were made welcome and our meals were best we've had for ages. prices so reasonable. would recommend you try for yourself.

• Best value for money Pub. Good food and drink. 3 course meal for £9 Beer /Lager about £2 a pint. We always go there-great buffets to.

• I am so furious after eating here I am seriously thinking of calling in Trading Standards - this pub has fantastic write-ups in local foodie pages - paid for by himself and promoting his "comparable with Michelin star bistro'" and doesn't come up with the goods - its cheap and nasty - a total rip off - locally sourced veg means frozen real home made chips are in a bowl of grease - food is all boil in the bag and if you ask for ice cold chicken to be heated the landlord will tell you that "it would cost £1.50 more to put in the microwave so its served chilled from the fridge - Sorted!" This is a buy-one-get-one free pub and its cheap - don't be fooled by the menus - its totally misleading. You think you're getting fresh food and veg and you're being duped big time. Drive another 1/2 mile to The Stuffed Dormouse at Roman Lodge - 2 course menu for £10 - fabulous food and I mean fabulous by chef Gareth Lee - *****

• Absolutely fantasic food and atmosphere.Value for money and good choice of menu. Very clean and very friendly staff. Will definately retunr again.

• 5 star hygiene award, that shows. The toilets were immaculate, as was the food and service. £6 for a 3 course meal, will deffinately be going back
