• Stables bar which is on Penstowes site although it is no longer owned by Penstowe Manor it is privately owned, avoid, the lady owner I presume thats who she was is the most unwelcoming person I have met , her attitudue was appauling and not worthy of people spending their hard earned money, everything was TOO MUCH trouble, when we ordered our meal she was very rude but as there were 8 of us who were very hungrey we decided to grin and bear it, big mistake, overall it took about a hour for the final meal to arrive at our table, 55 minutes after the first one arrived, so we all ended up eating seperately I would hate to go when it was busy , there were only 3 other people in the place, alarm bells should have started ringing then, after that we ate at the Resturant in Penstowe Manor which is 2min walk, much more pleasant staff and food, after speaking to others our experience was not a one off ,others had felt the same and had issues with the Stables bar.
