• This place is a great place to go and have a drink, food and a party.i went to square on a hen due. it was so much fun. we had asked for cocktails which they had prepared, mojitos, sex on the beach, seabreez, Egyptian delight and the square special. all cocktails were very nice. we had the upstairs for us, we were about 18 girls. on arrival our tables were set, bar staff waiting and we had already pre-ordered so food came up, in time all at once , and hot too. no one waited for anything. staff very polite and attentive. we played games staff joined in too. food was great, we had all ordered different things of the menu, we had no problems with the food, no mistakes. i congratulate this place, as i have been to other places and they have made us wait or food orders wrong or food arrives cold. we were allowed to bring our own cake, and chocolates, and it was a great evening all in all.

• came across this place though a deal they had done with groupon. a £58 for a starter and main worth £20. thought it was a great bargain, looked on the website looked like a nice little place, website was very informative pics and so on. i reserved a table for me and a friend, upon arrival i was greeted like any customer, not one that came for a deal or to eat on the cheap side. the waiter was very friendly, bit flirty, and helped us out with the dishes on the menu. for my starter i had the choice of scallops, cooked to perfection. and for my main i had the seabas, cooked i think in the over rapped in folio, defiantly something i would order, it was delicious. the menu had a wide variety of choices all mouth watering, was hard to pick however my friend had the crab salad to start and a stake with sauce and veg. i was told she enjoyed it, and we had no complaints. the waiter recommended the house wine, and we had some water too. i felt the place is far from small after speaking to waiter/ owner we understood they have been in hove 3 years, and they have an upstairs for parties and events. we were invited to have a look round if we wished. shame this place is not as visible as should be, its a great cozy place i would defiantly go back its well worth the effort food was really good, and the service was very accommodating. we were so full, however when the waiter came to ask us for dessert i was about to say no thanks, however he listed what he had, and we could not resist so we decided to have the bonofie pie and the mixed ice cream, what can i say it was the best i have ever tasted. presentation was perfect quality of food over expected. all in all great experience they will defiantly see me again thank you square

• i must say this place was not on my radar, and i came across it while i was walking towards hove, it caught my attention coz there were a few people standing outside, i probably would have never noticed it as i dont tend to look in there direction. they are located in palmeira square just before the church on the left hand side next to a wine shop. its quiet hidden, so i walked towards the place and looked at the menu's they had outside, i was surprised to find the price was reasonable, as the place looks lovely, wooden floors, a huge bar, sofas, and leather chairs. i walked in and i asked if i can look around, they were more then welcoming, and explained the restaurant and the concept showed me the different menu;s they had, and they also had an upstairs where they higher out for parties. they offered me a coffee while i was looking around and it was complementary. so i just had to try the food, i booked a table for that weekend and decided to go with my partner and another two friends. i am speechless for words, i dont know if i can ever describe how great this place is, i really dont know why the media have not reviewed this place. upon arrival we were so welcomed and the staff had remembered me, were were offered a round table that was already set with cutlery wine glasses and menu's on the table. The waiter explained the menu, and we ordered i had the calamari to start, and the stake for a main, i must say it was cooked to perfection, i could not have asked for a better meal, and so filling, but a lady who is probably is the manager convinced me to try the chocolate brownie, and said if i didnt like it i dont have to pay for it, she had described it as mouthwatering, and her exact words were " if u love chocolate its to die for" and she was right. my partner had the antipasto misto and the salmon for main, and he said, the salmon was great with a side of creamy sauce and baked potato's. the antipasto came on a modern wooden bored with a selection of bread and bread sticks, 10/10 for presentation too 20/10 for flavor too. my friends ordered scalps and a mushroom risotto, and the other had deep fried mozzarella with a tomato sauce and a pizza. we were all pleased with the outcome of the meal, the wine that was recommended to us complimented the meal, the service was excellent. i would defiantly recommend this place to everyone i know, and will be visiting it when i dine out. i would defiantly say look o there website http://www.square-uk.com, as i was told they have offers from time to time too good luck to them and sorry if my review was a bit too long but i had to give it justice
