• Fabulous store. Clean and spacious. Plenty of shop-floor staff available to assist (at present) Cafe very poor. My experience on 3 separate occasions leads me to give a deserved very poor rating. Quick to take orders/cash but very slow to dispense service; even just a drink causes chaos. Today I visited the cafe for the third and final time. My partner left me shopping in the store to go upstairs for breakfast. It took 30 minutes for his porridge to arrive which had the appearance of oatmeal soup. Even the member of staff who delivered it to his table commented "I didn't make it - if you want me to do something with it I will" He was so hungry he didn't dare part with it after the wait. I joined the queue at 11.15hrs and requested my order at 11.30hrs to be told as the board was being turned over that the breakfast menu was no longer available but I could still place the order but be charged separately for the items which amounted to a higher cost. I did this reluctantly bearing in mind I was stood in the queue for a full 15 minutes before the expiry of the breakfast menu. My receipt read 11.32hrs and after waiting 40 minutes for a sausage and bacon sandwich I approached a member of staff and queried the whereabouts of my food. Off she went into the kitchen and came back to report mine "was the forth one down the list that would be at least another 10 minutes" I asked for a refund, but it appears this has to be done through Customer Services downstairs! Another queue. When the food arrived 50 minutes after the order was placed it was a sorry sight to say the least. If you decide to eat there I suggest you ask how long the wait is going to be before you place your order and part with any cash to in-experienced staff.
