• I requested a bespoke, traditional door. The price was £2,600. I paid 50% prior to installation. After installation, I immediately raised concerns about its quality. Although they were happy to install the door during lockdown they were unable to then come and see the door because of lockdown. In order to come to an agreement, I agreed to pay for the frame- I did not receive a breakdown of costs at the time of agreement, but they wanted £1100. The frame was still unfinished at this point. There was expanding foam all over the frame and render, it was covered in scratches, and later when we had to fit a new door, we found out it was not even in straight and because it had been glued in, we could not move it. I eventually received a refund of £445 meaning I paid £894 for the frame. We employed Ryan Joinery some years ago to repair our sash windows, however it seems that they no longer have the knowledge and quality they were once known for.
