• Everyone I know in Hockley calls The Royal Taste the best Chinese in the area! Always had fantastic food and great service from there. A lovely selection on the menu for very reasonable prices. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

• Good takeaway with a fair range of dishes, cooked in front of you (unlike a lot of other places that re-microwave dishes out back). Fair value and tastes good too.

• I normally would never write a review but I had to , if you want a greasy burnt slop this the place for you my local was closed due to a power cut and my wife is pregnant and craved chinese .on ordering the dishes and asking them to make sure no seafood or msg in any of the dishes .I ended up with special fried rice with shrimps all 6 of them ,! The rice was dry which tells you it was not fresh and old the chicken balls were just batter and and tiny pieces of chicken in them .when I called up to complain I was told that is how it comes and told that msg is in all there food so cannot order a dish without it ,,, seriously ,,,, the same order from my regular takeaway is £4 .30 CHEAPER
