• My husband & I had a very enjoyable lunch at the Royal Oak last Saturday,the beef in red wine was delicious as were the desserts,we will certainly return. The staff were very friendly & helpful a gave the pub a very good atmosphere.

• Been to this local pub after travelling out from our lovely hotel. The service was ok but the food was very poor. I ordered chicken Kiev which was overcooked possibly been reheated a few times before. The batter was hard and the chicken tasteless. The mash potatoes were lumpy and again tasteless. My partner chose steak in ale pie and she found it to be overcooked also. There was no taste to the steak and the peas tasted like the cheap brand you get from some stores. Definitely not recommended - a rating of 2 out of 10.
