• I could not disagree more with 'a previous drinkers' review. As a regular to the royal oak the food is exceptional. If it is the typical bland, orange food that the 2 for 1 chains churn out that you are after, then this is not the pub for you; the food is restaurant quality, local produce cooked to perfection at fair prices. The staff could not do enough for you whether you are a diner or just visiting for a casual drink. Fabulous, friendly, traditional pub. Keep up the good work!

• This pub is becoming more and more a less appealing pub for locals. It is the most expensive pub in the village and the food prices are going up a lot quicker than inflation. This pub panders to visitors from a distance because it can no longer rely on local trade. It's one redeeming feature is it's large assembly room. Without having this for hire it would do a lot worse
