• I used to always go here as a child in the late 60's and early 70's when visiting my grandparents - who lived nearby in Hainault. Great memories of lovely ice-cream!

• Wow was just looking on line out of curiosity. Can't believe the best ice cream place in the world is still here in Barkingside. I am now 54 I used to live in Waterloo Road Barkingside in the 60s and 70s when I was about 16 I worked at rossi for about 8 months. I now live in Wirksworth Derbyshire. My name back then was Linda kohn. I am going to come back one day soon I hope to reminess. I used to love the ice cream soda. Back then it cost pennies. I've now got a tear in my eye.

• All that�s has been said about Rossies of Barkingside is not only true today but was true 50 years agoIn the days of Peter Rossie and his wife Lynn and Benita and Sylvia (I do remember Sylvia) It was in a different location in theses days at the other end of the high street next to Marmets the toy shop me and my friends would use Rossies as a meeting place or a going to place after the pictures or just for a sodaHappy daysDavid Hearn
