• If you are looking for a country pub with stunning views and fantastic good pub grub well priced, go no further than here, The Rose and Thistle in Alwinton is one of the best in Northumberland.The beer is excellent thanks to Gareth who runs a well stocked cellar with guest beers that are always consistently good. The staff are very friendly and always pleased to see you. You can always tell a popular pub by the locals that attend it, and this place always has its fair share, and are all very friendly. If you are ever up in the Cheviots, I strongly urge you to try this pub it’s is a jewel of a pub!
