• I went there on a Friday and ordered the vegetarian platter. We were served by the rudest man I have ever met. He had no clue what was in the platter and only went to speak to the chef as we insisted we wanted to know what was in the platter. When he came back he still had no clue and told us that the chef makes it up as he goes along. When the food arrived it was tasteless, bland and really poor quality. We were told that the food was made fresh but it did not taste fresh. It felt like the platter consisted of all the left overs that were about to be discarded. There were no fish or seafood that were originally promised but instead we got some stale tortilla chips, with some dips that were definitely not home made, tiny portions of plain pasta, cold bland rissotto, edamame beans, soggy dumplings and some other dishes that i can't even describe how awful it was. It is the worst food I have ever eaten and for £28 is a total joke and rip off. When we presented the problems to the waiter/manager. He did not try to rectify the problems, offer us something else or take it off out bill. He was so unapologetic and defensive. He basically told us that we were wrong and the food was meant to taste like that. Rodells has to be the worst restaurant in terms of both Service and Food I have ever come across. Don't ever go!!
