• Enjoyed a great golf holiday with a group. We had a great time with real ales each night and good quality food with varied choice menu.New management have definitely made a difference. This has the prospects to be a great local pub.We will be telling others to stay.

• Service was awful, we had to remind staff what we had ordered because they'd lost everyone's orders. Thankfully they also lost a first sest of drinks!!! Triple cooked chips, WHY? they were foul, so much grease the place smelled like a greasy cafe. I complained and just got a laugh. I would never go back to this place unless i wanted to give myself heart disease.

• The new landlady Nick has made a huge impact on the Rock and Fountain I had an excellent meal there Saturday 17/09/2011 and found the atmosphere stimulating and staff very pleasant. Only been there once before but will be a regular from now on

• very bad meal.. Had to order everything separately.Fish, veg, potatoes etc. portions were small and tasteless. waitresses harassed and overall experience not very good.

• visited this place with friends for a celebration. NEVER AGAIN!!! Meal was tasteless and the portions were incredible So small. Not enough to feed any growing 6 year old let alone an adult.When spoke to manager he was nothing but rude and sarcastic. Complete shambles and his arrogance didnt help the party enjoy their evening, we left and will never return and will have great pleasure in letting people know. Not worth 1 star but the countryside was lovely.

• Slow service (it took an hour for the meal to arrive) and below average food. Will not be rushing back.
