• What an absolute dump!! We stopped here as we wanted some decent home cooked food.. which is what we thought we might get since it says "home cooked pub grub" out side on a huge banner... We went in and ordered a few drinks.. the ladylady was the most miserable old *** ever! We asked to see the menu and she said she didnt serve food... ERM! Why is there a huge banner outside saying they do then? is it to lure in pure unsuspecting people into their dodgy, dark and dirty pub? A lovely lava lamp in the corner, dirty old carpet, cobwebs, mould and a fish tank that hadnt been cleaned like forever.... (i think i could hear the fish calling out "help me help me" The landlady and the locals made it quite clear non locals werent welcome but listening to their conversation with lots of swearing was charming.. and her flat lemonade out of a bottle? was lovely!!! So hey if you dont want food go here its fab! NOT!!!!!

• I agree with the comment of the previous posting. Never seen so many people smoking in the pub car park outside on a cold wet January night. Allthough I do not smoke I felt like joining them, it was so unwelcoming inside the pib. A dog the size of a tank and tables full of jigsaws etc. seemed to take up most of the bar space.
