• Can honestly say this is the best chip shop in Northampton without exception. I have lived in Northampton all my life and love fish and chips. A friend recommended this shop and since then I have been coming back as a regular for over five years. Parking is difficult but the effort is well worth it.

• I am not sure why there are any bad reviews for this fish and chip shop because I have been eating there for more than seven years and I can honestly say that the food is always really good. Chips can be a seasonal thing however their chips are nearly always cooked to order moreover their oil tastes clean which is more than can be said of some shops I have been to. My favourite thing that they sell is the mushy pea clusters but I also really like their fish. Fish and chips for a fiver...you can't say fairer than that.

• Bad reviews must have been from other takeaways nearby as I have never once had a bad meal from this place! Extremely friendly and quick service, good value for your money with large portions; and the food itself is always delicious! A little walk away but even in this cold weather my food is still hot when I arrive home! Try for yourself and ignore the haters!

• Don't know what the other reviewers were talking about but this chippy is the 'bomb'. Loved their kebabs , if you like the meat cut a little bit thinker and a peppery taste to your meat then this is the place. i have been to the shop more than ten times and each time i visit the chips are nearly always cooked to order. I have not tried the fish yet but it looks good. I have tried the burgers, they are okay, (nothing to write home about) but the chicken sandwiches ARE really good and would definitely be pick of the burgers. My wife tried the vegetarian burgers and she liked them, she also said the cheese and onion croquettes are really tasty. I have given only a four star because I prefer my quarter pounders to be flame grilled not cooked on a griddle.

• Food was hot, good value and tasted fresh. Fish was white , which is always a good sign that it is fresh. Kebabs and burgers were not bad and the curry sauce is to die for. Try it yourself.

• Chips cooked to order therefore never cold. Fish, lightly battered and white fleshed ....delicious! Lovely staff. Best chippy in northampton?

• Bag of chips uneatable must have been fried over and over.Gave my dog one sounded like it was eating a bone ,will never go there again disgusting

• Very bad food. I would stay clear. What a let down when your Hungary. Will never go back. Will stick to the other chip shops along the Leonard's Road.

• Food isn't freshly made. Goes cold quick and is much more expensive than the average fish and chip shop
