• Steer well clear. Sold us an unroadworthy car, various suspension and exhaust issues. Cambelt change and service carried out by their mate John was a disaster, oil overfilled, timining done incorrectly, Engine management light tampered with. The place looks nice and they have some nice cars in, but their cheaper selection and general attitude is appaling. There are plenty of other cars out there

• Some mixed reviews on here. Thought I would share my experience. Traveled from Scotland to look at an Audi A3 that was on sale for 10k. On initial enquiry, they explained that the car was clean and no marks. Was apprehensive driving down such a distance, but was pleasantly surprised when I got there. They have a very nice setup, friendly bunch of guys, leave you in peace to look at the car and are helpful when required. The process was very smooth, car was serviced while I was there and I drove back with the car the same day. All in all was a positive transaction, just a shame I didnt quite get what I wanted for my px. Will buy and recommend these guys. Gaz

• Lucky I saw these reviews before I went down, got greeted by a lovely pleasant gentleman called Asif who claimed to be the owner. Took a car for a test drive which proved to be a bag of spanners as the brakes were near enough non existent and the engine was realy smokey, his excuse was that it had been stood. turns out it was fully prepped for a customer who previously cancelled on it as his cleaner told me in confidence. He then tried to sell it me as a trade deal with no warranty and would give me a discount. Place looks good and they do the talk well but please be wary! I walked away with my hard earned money but nearly got reeled in.

• Between me and my brother we have bought 3 cars from them and px old 1s and they have always gone above and beyond to make sure we was satisfied I had a issue with door lock phoned them and it was in garage next day being fixed..it's like any company some people mite have a bad experience and there the only 1s you tend to hear about.. If your thinking of a car that they have go and view there's no pressure there.. like some places who follow you around. We highly recommend redbrook

• Did not describe the car accurately, promised the earth for after sales, and once they had the money and the car went wrong they didn't want to know. They do not deserve your business.

• I unfortunately didn't see the bad reviews after foolishly handed over a large deposit to hold a car before I viewed it to hold it. The sales advisor, Harris assured me that I can have my money back if I decided I didn't want the car. I then phoned bac as decided against it and after numerous phone calls I spoke to the owner who said I couldnt have my money back and he tells his staff to tell us that's it non refundable which was a lie. They also lied saying it had had the mot which it hadnt as harris had told me before. Im still without my money after going through citizens advice and surprised they run as a business as they con people out of money

• Mixed experience. They were really friendly with me at first although a bit too quick to start calling me "mate" and using terms like "well safe" etc. Sales team 'Wazaq' and 'Harris' were ok but didn't offer any peace of mind about couple of minor issues with car. The owner 'Ash' tried to con me out of my deposit but eventually after several desperate phone calls to HarrisI got most of it back. They need to improve professionalism and customer service to avoid a bad reputation here. Shame.

• Really bad sales team as are their cars, maybe cheap but you will end up paying more, and arguing with them,they will be nice as soon as moneys handed over your nightmare starts, if you want to waste your time and money go red brooke motors in rochdale

• This is your definition of a 'backstreet garage'. Sales team consisting of young Asian lads in jeans and tee shirts. Poor knowledge on vehicle. Almost aggressive when we didn't buy. Several misleading things in advert. Very dodgy feel to this whole set up.

• Came across these reviews when searching for Redbrook. Car they had was relatively cheaper than others (a Kia Sorrento). Tried them out, took my dad who is a mechanic, only thing he could find was a tyre was bit low on tread, they offered to replace and we bought the car. It's been fine so far, touch wood, not had any issues. Watch this space.....

• bought car from them never mentioned problems, spent £600 to get repaired. When I rang them they said "trade sale". Quick to take your money but deeply dishonest people.
