• Sat in the sun outside with a pint and studied the menu. Noticed that the floor around the tables was littered with cigarette ends and two overturned full ash trays. The area had not been swept and was a disgrace. Umbrellas were covered with green mould...ugh !! Decided not to eat there. Years ago it was a great place to eat. They need to get a grip. It's not rocket science !

• I have been trying to make contact by telephone for the last hour with a view to making a booking. Every time I ring, somebody at the other end picks up, and either immediately hangs up or leaves the call on hold without speaking. Whilst I appreciate that they will no doubt be busy at this time of year, this is at best Rude, ignorant, and extremely shoddy service ! This place doesn't deserve any business, at least until they put all their staff on a customer relations course !

• Called for lunch today 21 April 2011. It was a lovely day and we sat outside. Ordered and pre payed for our meal at the bar which was a fish pie for each of us. It was served without the salad which was included on the menu. The prawns that the pie contained had not been pre cooked before adding to the pie and were semi raw. There were no condiments at the table and I had to asked for them and when they arrived both the pepper and salt pots were empty and so we had to ask again. The Gents toilet had no soap, and in the Ladies the hand drier did not work. Allin all a very poor deal which ensures we shall not be going there again
