• 5 of 5 stars 13 of us had a birthday lunch at the Queens Head this week, and the staff coudn't have been more helpful about the arrangements, even providing a last minute pint of custard at no extra cost for the Vanilladdicts Anonymous contingent. We had a special menu at a special price, and, though the numbers varied all week (7-14) before settling at 13, mine hosts' smiles never wavered! The food was simply superb... delicious, interesting and plentiful, and there was something for everyone...piscarians and vegetarians included. A sample-size selection of the chef's desserts was the crowning glory. Worthy local competition for the excellent Bruntingthorpe "Joiners Arms" and more reasonably priced with an even friendlier atmosphere. Tell all your friends.
