• Under new management since Xmas. Trying hard to find a decent chef and nearly there. Give it a chance.

• What a difference a few months make! Now fully refurbished, we called in today and probably had the WORST meal ever! A new chef has taken over since our last review and boy does it show! Totally inedible! The meal defied belief as to how truly awful it was! We should have sussed it earlier but thinking back, the fact that the place was totally and utterly EMPTY may have been a clue! You just cannot serve people who are paying good money, rank meals like these and to say we were bitterly disappointed would be the understatement of the year! That's it for us as we'll never go back there again! You've gone from employing one of the best chef's that money could buy to one of the worst! Thanks, but no thanks. A 'One Star' is the minimum allowed on this 'rating' system but it was absolutely nowhere near a 'one'! In the 'minus figures' without a doubt. To say we were gutted is indeed an understatement.

• Visited the recently revamped and re-opened Queens Head last week and the meals we had were FANTASTIC! Absolutely stunning food, perfectly cooked and served with a courteous and pleasant manner. We used to frequent the place last year and the meals were VERY 'hitty -missy' if you know what I mean. Some days quite good, other days appalling but now it's under new management, it definitely seems to have given it a bran d new lease of life! Still some refurbishment to do so we're told but that won't stop us from calling in. Can't wait to go back to be honest.

• Sunday lunch excellant piping hot and cooked to perfection. Plenty meats to choose from. Staff very helpful and friendly
