• Worst fish and chips I have ever had. Went there last night 4/7/15. £12 throw in the bin. If I fed them to the dog I would be had for animal cruelty.

• The meal deals are a bargain. Medium cod meal includes peas in a carton. Roe/fishcake chips and peas and sausage chips and peas are bargain but staff say they are not allowed to put the peas in a carton, they are tipped all over the chips, making the whole meal a splodgy mess. Ruined our meals, never seen anything more unappetising. Come on Pete, for the sake of a 1 penny carton!!!

• Wow - these were great fish and chips. Sensibly sized and healthy tasting but delicious. Medium cod was a good bargain. Long queue but worth it.

• Visited nuneaton road shop tonight the service is so slow people were walking out,I certainly wont be using this shop again

• Jeezus!!!! This is not the great British Tradition that I remember.Small portion of dry chips and the less said about the fish, with what was supposed to be a batter the better. Whatever happened to golden, crispy batter on my fish???

• No stars or negative five. Fish n chips have gone in the bin. Three chances disgusting meal. The dog eats better. We will not be making the journey across town again. Used to be the best. Simply rubbish. Wet batter, thin and soggy chips bitty and very greasy and this was freshly made. Yuck.

• Disgusting and overpriced, the small chips costs more than anywhere else I've been and is at least half the portion of everywhere else I've been, some chippies I can feed 4 people for under £5, you'll be lucky to feed 2 people for £5 at Petes.

• Sorry to say that we won't be driving over to them again! After years of driving across Bedworth past the other inferior chippies we we're served up the worst pieces of fish we have ever tasted. So I am afraid after last Thursday nights rubbish we won't be a regular any more. Shame it used to be a good shop, but standards have slipped!

• petes is the only chippy i go to where the food is freshly cooked and not just taken out the display.. never had a bad meal.. lived in collycroft all my life and its the best chippy since orchard chippy

• Gone down the pan! Pardon the pun!used to be best in town..But no longer! our last few visits to pete's chippy in Croft Rd Nuneaton we found the fish & chips dripping in grease! The fish was so greasy it had to be scrapped of the grease proof paper!....tried to eat it but ended up throwing it in bin.such a shame as like i have already sais,they WERE once one of the best in town....NO LONGER!
