• Just prior to boarding the Ferry in Gourock we telephoned the Osborne Hotel asking if it would be possible to reserve a table for two for Lunch. We were informed this would be "perfect" and that they stopped taking orders at 2.15pm Luckily after leaving the Ferry we telephoned again stating we were on our way and confirming our booking only to be told that she would have to check with the Kitchen Staff to confirm we would still be served. On returning informing us to the negative. Thankfully we telephoned prior to arriving in Innellan or presumably we would have been refused entry. If this is an example of the new Osborne and its' new Management we are distinctly unimpressed. We frequently visited the Osborne under Beryl and Patricks' wonderful Management and on every occasion were greeted warmly and never refused a meal. I doubt very much solely on this experience that we will ever visit the Osborne again. Nil points to this Hotel and its' new Management. Disgraceful treatment of potential new Customers. Does not even merit 1 star.
