• Very frustrated by not being able to make a booking for Sunday 29th December. Made booking online, but had no reply. On arriving Sunday it was closed, could not see how we were supposed to know that no voicemail message or information online, and never received a reply from my email booking. A shame as the food there is brilliant with the best roast beef we have had eating out! Hoping to book soon hopefully with better contact.

• Poor tasteless food and not cheap. Almost empty on a summer Saturday, probably says it all. Two stars only because the service was good.

• Found the staff unwelcoming and, despite the hype, the food only average. My wife and I had booked for a celebratory Sunday lunch. However, when we were taken to our table it was not in the actual restaurant but in a corridor at the back of the pub that leads into their tearoom. There was no manager on duty to complain to and no discount offered. The owner was complained to later but feeble excuse given.

• Excellent! Beautiful place with a lovely welcoming atmosphere. All the staff were very professional and genuinely friendly. The food was fantastic, superbly presented, everything full of flavour, delicious and of generous proportions. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I believe you wouldnt find anywhere else locally, as high quality as the Olive Branch at Tunstead. Highly recommending to all my friends and family and will definately be returning. Absolutely wonderful!!
