"The Old Volunteer will be re-opening as the brewery tap for the local award winning craft brewery Flipside Brewery.The doors to the Volo have now been closed to begin the refurb of The Old Volunteer to open in May. Over the next few weeks we will be telling you a bit about us, what we are going to offer, and why we are looking forward to serving you at your new local!"

• My husband and I do not rate this pub especially for food as we went for our 35th anniversary fora meal but all that was on the menu was pub food no hot meal.We ended up leaving and going to gedling inn instead where we got a proper meal which was lovely. Don't go here as you will be disappointed.
