• Awful! Our starters took over an hour to arrive even though there was only one other table in that night, we had booked in advance and they were only nachos!! And our mains were another 45 mins. The food was very mediocre and we recieved no apology for the slow service. The man who served us had the gall to tell our children to 'shush, you are not the only ones here' whilst we were waiting for our bill, even though they had sat for nearly three hours just to have their dinner and would have been home and in bed had the service not been so slow. Apparently kids eat free on a Saturday according to a poster in the ladies toilets! My husband didn't realise this and was charged for four meals. Definately won't be going back! Avoid!!

• No point in changing the menu if you can't change a bad attitude towards customers. Wont be back.

• Was slightly concerned about going to this pub after reading the last two reviews on here but I have to say I had an extremely enjoyable experience. The food was great value and cooked how I like it. I'll be back for the grill night in a couple of weeks!

• Well it was O.K. I have had better and I have had McDonalds. Food was warm at best as was the lager. Service was good but just got the feeling that they were going through the motions, which i suppose they were really. Very clean although being dog friendly and serving food does put me off a little.

• I am the landlady of the old thatched inn. I have, to say in response to the previous review if you have any concerns then we are always willing to help. If you received poor quality food or service this is a matter I shall look into. On the next matter , we do not consider ourselves as the king or queen, would never refer to anyone as mere locals and this is our life, not just a job. Please come again I will try my best to make sure your visit is a pleasant one.

• Brilliant food, and waitress made sure we were ok and had everything we needed. Great atmosphere and barstaff were lovely and chatty! Will definitely be going back!

• After visiting the Thatched Inn last night for curry night,I have to say I am very pleased with the food,the service and the atmosphere that welcomes you as soon as you walk in. The pub is clean, friendly and the new Landlord and Landlady could not do more for us. We shall return especially to try out steak night. After reading the previous review I have to say that we did not find thid the case at all with the landlord and landlady - they seem a lovely, genuine couple who have worked very hard to bring the Thatch back into the heart of the village - here here I say!

• We heard the pub had recently been taken over so we thought we would give it a go......so pleased we did, the food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and the new landlord and landlady made us feel at home. We shall return soon
