• Visited there a few times now, through the week and weekend. Would advice everyone to go there. Its always a pleasant atmosphere and the staff are great to talk to :) food and pub are one of the best I've been to!!!

• Had a Christmas Fayre Meal last night (14/12/13), nine in our group and we all enjoyed our meals The quantity and quality were well above average and i even ate the sprouts which i haven't done since my grandmother used to tell me to eat all my greens. One very small criticism, bigger plates please.Eight of us had even been allowed to order Prawn cocktails "off menu" so id say nothing was to much trouble for Thelma. Tables were well laid for the season. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially Rhiannon who made my night with her cheerful way and attentive service.The apple pie and custard was delicious and id say homemade, you don't get that from a frozen food supplier, same for the veg. High quality Christmas crackers for a pub, well done. Parking wasn't as easy as our last visit as they were so busy, so go early.One of the best Christmas meals and night out we've had for some years which is why ive decided to give Credit where Credit is due.My dogs thank you for taking the trouble to fiol wrap some of the leftovers. Those who may have read and been swayed against going to this lovely pub, should give it a try, otherwise your missing out.Thank you form me and my family.See you soon again.

• Visited the Mountain Air today (29-09-13) for a Sunday carvery.The food was fantastic, it was by far the best carvery in south Wales and we should know we've tried most.The service was fantastic the bar staff and serving staff were pleasant and very helpful.We have already booked our table for next week(you will need to book it's that good).A hidden gem!

• Well I went back and had the smothered steak and was not disappointed one bit. My partner had the beef madras 1/2 and 1/2, it was nice that he was given the option of rice, chips or 1/2 & 1/2 as not many places seem to do that these days, really big portion and both of us totally stuffed. I really wanted a dessert but had no where to put it so the staff were nice enough to offer to do a take away dessert if I fancied it, of which i most deff did, rum and black cher roulade with a cupper at home just topped off a fab night. Mountain Air I'm yours forever

• Had a fab meal this weekend, staff very helpful and loads to choose from on menu, going back soon to try smothered steak, had a great night and fab food, good place to go.

• ignorant staff ,food came out without rice as stated no explanation ,was never once asked was food ok ,seated at dirty table near door which was suppoosed to be cleaned but never was ,NEVER AGAIN !!

• thursday afternoon 11th april 2013 4 adults 1 child we went for the first time on the recomendations from several and diffrent friends. we were far from dissapointed. childrens meal... reasonable amount of options great price and more than enough to eat. adult meals... good selection main courses, starters and sweet. I had the sizzzzzzling 10oz steak it was cooked just the way i asked. My wife ordered the small mixed grill or so she thought, they have 3 sizes (would'nt want to see the bigger one's)everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The prices... prices start from around £5.00 to the very very big he-man type mixed grill at twenty something pounds. my 10oz £8 the wifes so called small mixed grill £7 first time i picked up a bill smiling. the staff... friendly and courteous from the time we went in to the time we left. Drinks... reasonable not over priced. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMEND AND WILL GO BACK prices start from around £5.00 to the very very big he-man type mixed grill.

• Xmas Eve 2012. Shocking food!!! Staff very ignorant too. would i go back.....never again

• A recent family gathering just before xmas. The food was ok, i've tasted better. Really disappointed as staff present couldn't be bothered. we were never asked at any point was all our meals ok. You also have to pay for water as they will not give you tap water for nothing. They say it's something wrong with the tap water. Would i go again NO!!!
