• Opening times advertised on this webpage are wrong - the Farm shop is, and only ever has been, open Wed to Sunday - not Monday and Tuesday.

• Have been to Mottistone Farm Shop several times over this year (2011) as we live just outside Yarmouth. Wont be going again though. This week we made the trip - takes about 20 minutes - to buy one of their home made pies which are very good - we have bought several over the summer. We went on Wednesday but were told no pies - the filling had been made but the pies would be ready on Friday. Went today Friday afternoon - took my pie to the counter (£5.50 - not cheap but a treat for us) - took out my card to pay - as we have always done - but a young girl (looked about 20) told us that now we could not pay by card for purchases under £10 as they would not make enough profit!! - now two things - we have always paid by card - sometimes just £2 for sausages and have never been refused. Secondly you would think they would want the custom especially as this time of year there are not many people about - the last few times we have been we have been the only people. Thirdly you would think returning custom would be worth something - also we have up until now recommended highly Mottistone Farm Shop to all our local friends and visitors but no more. Interestingly as I left the shop an older woman behind the counter was rowing with the young girl as she had wanted to let us pay with our card.
