• 2 of us called in here back in Sept. this year on a nice warm day-only i table in the sun free outside which was covered in the previous customers used plates, cups etc. Not cleared until our food order arrived. We were in the area again today ( 15th. Dec 2012 ) & to be honest only went in as it was beginning to rain hard & we were right outsde. Despite only 3 or 4 tables inside being occupied there was a table by the window covered in used crockery & 2 staff standing around chatting & another behind the counter. Despite rain , we walked out & will not be returning.

• I totally disagree with the above comment as I was also in the shop at the time of these events.... I believe the scribbling on the wall with crayons was the final straw for the manageress. I quite clearly witnessed her requesting that your little boy and his friend stop running in & out of the toilets. Maybe had you been paying a little more attention to your off spring we all would have felt a little less irritated.

• I am shocked at what Kelly has written. This can't possibly be the same place I have been to. The food served is great and the staff there are friendly and welcoming. I have been there twice now with my family. My wife suggested we eat there after it being recommended to her by a friend. We have two boys and as much as my wife and I love them, we are both aware they can be rather boisterous at times, especially on Family days out. For whatever reason, they both thought it would be fun to start barking at each other across the table on our first visit while my wife and I were ordering our food. One of the young ladies offered us some animal toys for the boys to play with. It didn't quite do the trick but we thought it was a very kind gesture nonetheless. The food was tasty, nothing fancy but very enjoyable. We left being very satisfied customers. My wife has been in a few times with friends since then and has been asked every time how our two sons are. We popped in there again recently, welcomed with the same friendly atmosphere and good service. I highly recommend this place to anyone, including families. We also noticed on our second visit they have a highchair there. Surely this is a place that welcomes children!

• I would just like to recommend that nobody take children to Manna cafe in Chorleywood. I took my two boys there before Christmas to meet some friends and myself and my friend were left speechless at how the Manageress treated us. My son went to the toilet and was told by the Manageress to "get out it was not a playground", she kept frantically wiping the windows near us as my 3 year old kept putting his hand on the window as it was steamed up, then she told us that it was "all getting too much and she was irritable!" Myself and friend could not believe it and decided to leave, we will not be returning.After telling another mummy friend about this she said she knew of someone else who had a very similar experience there when her son also kept touching the steamed up windows and knocked over a drink which apparently did not go down too well.This in my opinion is not a child friendly cafe and the very young Manageress is not able to cope with children.
