• Went for a lunch on Sunday, we didn't want a full blown dinner so chose the sandwich option. Chincen, bacon and emmentaal. Sounds good but was bad in the execution. First of all it was not a sandwich but a rather dry ciabatta. Then the filling was one small piece of chicken, one rasher of bacon and a blob of Emmentaal. Very disappointing. It came with chips (which were actually fries like at McDonald's!!) and side salad. The salad was the best part, fresh and crispy with a good dressing. We complained and were offered something different or a refund. We chose a refund.

• Nice enough atmosphere, but the food was terrible! Vegetarian option a disaster - School dinner style quiche complete with the greasiest deep fried potatoes (supposedly 'roast' potatoes!) which left us feeling physically ill. Other main courses also badly executed. Desserts were good, but it was far too late by then.

• Went for Sunday lunch on 2.10.11. Table booked for 1.30p.m order taken 25 minutes later. Round of drinks arrived a further 20 minutes later and starters were a further 5 minutes after that. Main course the pork and chicken were tasty but 2 small roast potatoes each and a dish of vegetables for 4 people was the same size as the dish of vegetables on the next table that were for 2. Menu said apple sauce but no-one came to ask if we wanted apple sauce or whether everything was ok with meal. To add insult to injury they tried to charge us for 3 course whem we only had 2! At £12.95 for 2 courses it was certainly not worth the money.
