• After over 30 minutes waiting to check an account balance - 'you have been put through to the wrong department' - all on a trans-Atlantic phone call. Complete and utterly useless - and expensive.

• For a start, it isn't Lloyds TSB - TSB is a separate entity and has been for a few years now ...

• Why can't I telephone the branch ? The general number answers quickly, then I am transferred - for a simple balance enquiry to a number which may be answered. Only been on hold for 27 minutes (from the USA) so far ....
