Brilliant since being taken over by a Greek Cypriot couple. Warm, friendly atmosphere, helpful and with a good sense of humour. Different place altogether now.
This post office is under new management now and us receiving praise from the villagers and passing trade. It is a shame that the previous owners have left such a bad reputation.
For the information of the residents of Litcham and the surrounding areas; Litcham PO is now under new management and the atmosphere is completely different. Friendly faces, humorous banter, the hub of the village.
I was in the litcham post office last week and I have to agree with the other people that have a negative opinion of this shop, the experience was quite awful and the staff were very rude I will not be going back again.change your ways or you will lose more customers
I have been using this post office for 25 years,on almost a daily basis and I can only praise the improvements made and the helpfulness of the present staff,I think the comments made so far do the shop and the village a disservice,I certainly prefer it to the chaos of Tesco and the rudness of their customers
Sadly I have to agree with the negative comments. I have often found the staff to be blunt and unfriendly, often even when they don't appear to be particularly busy.
It's a real shame, a shop like this should be a god send, but I too feel tempted to venture further afield to get better service.
The only good thing about the shop is that it is open longer hours than most post offices, including Sunday mornings.
This post office is in need of a change of management. Saying that, i would rather keep the rude couple than have foreigners run it like all the London post offices.
this has got to be the worst post office i have ever been in, terrible customer service, they lose patience with older people very quickly.the chap with a beard is quite happy to be nasty to his wife in front of customers and her likewise.it was quite embarrasing to see.i would like to see an improvement here as i will not be giving my custom here again until i hear from friends that still use it that things have changed.
this store will never get my custom again, the old woman who runs it should learn what customer service and politeness means if she can fit it in to her day between rowing and snapping at the man with the beard perhaps she could attend a anger management course and after reading the other comments people have left i think its about time to leave peacefull litcham as you clearly do not want to have a business here and you do not value local trade gressenhall has a much better post office as do swaffam and mileham.i will continue to persuade as many people as i can to spend their money elsewhere.if i could give a minus figure in stars i would
I wouldn't miss it, my family and i dont use it any more. The last time i went there i was greeted with a grunt from the manager and left with a moody silence. Purhaps to much pressure "if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" Never again while the store is run by the wrong management.
I totally disagree. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The village post office is a very busy place and at some times of the day the staff are under huge pressure. Those that complain would certainly miss it if it were not there.
Staff are rude and ignorant, their miserable faces got me down. Now use Swaffham post office where im always greeted with a smile.
I fully agree with all the other comments. The place is shocking, staff rude and dis-interested. I too drive to Swaffham to avoid going in there. Change the staff or lose the Post Office. If I could leave no stars I would, it deserves none !
This has got to be by far the one of the most un-friendly vilage shops I have ever been into, they are rude and sometime disrespectful, Treat the shop like natzi germany In otherwords don't do anthing wrong like put your card in the wrong way in the ATM you will have your head bitten off for it. I now go out of my way to make sure I dont provide that shop with any custom.
Went in to get some money and the post office lady snapped my head off for getting my card upside down. I can't help being 80 you know.
Only one word to describe this place - vile. Those running it are clearly too familiar with the concept of abusing a captive market. The sad irony is, were they to attempt a morsel of politeness their takings might actually rise. As it is, I gladly drive miles out of my way simply to avoid the sheer rudeness of these people.
Dreadful customer service! I can see why local post offices are closing every week, I will go to my local town next time instead of the village post office next time. The staff are rude and short with you and it is no invite for another visit! Avoid!
