• Hurrah, the good news after years of neglect and treating paying customers with total contempt is that Sid is leaving the Lion. Perhaps it will be taken over, money spent and become the goldmine that it should be!

• Concur with Tony's comments entirely as I made the error of visting this establishment last week. Dirty, unkempt and unwelcoming to say the least. His cryptic clue re Google has since further astounded me...

• Ate there last week having last visited over 20 years ago when I lived in the area. The food was fairly basic pub fare but the landlord, Sid, is a very odd character and seems not to accept construtive criticism well. Having returned home I "Googled" Lion Inn and the landlords name only to be stunned to read his history which is readily available in the public domain. All I will say is that this is perhaps not the right environment to take "children" to..
