• I am outraged at the level of customer service, or complete lack thereof at this establishment. I wish I had read some of the reviews on here before going here for lunch. But everything that is written about the landlady is very true. I went to this pub for lunch with a colleague and were told there'd be a 20-30 minute wait for food, since we have an hour for lunch, this was manageable, so we went ahead and placed our order for 1 salad and I baguette. 1 hour later we still didn't have our food. We were refused a refund by the landlady who instead informed us that we had entered into a contract when we ordered, to pay for the food we had ordered. There was no apology, instead we were asked if we wanted her details, then she added 'Do you want my manager's details?' And when we said yes, she said, it's there, that's me. It was all very childish and petty and completely unnecessary. She also told us she would be happy if we didn't come back. So we won't. I am stunned by this woman's attitude towards customers, and general persona. She most definitely hates her job and seizes any opportunity to have a little power trip, albeit at the expense of her business reputation. Very very bizarre. My colleagues and I will most definitely not be returning here in the future.
