I was worried about making my first car purchase but they made it all so easy with no problems at all.... and my car is great. Thank you for making it such a pleasant experience.

• My 20 year old daughter has just bought a car from L&S Appleyard cars today, so all I can review on is the service we have had up to buying the car. The salesman was very friendly and helpful not too pushy and no hard sell. There was no problem whatsoever in test driving the car she liked and he was very nice with her on the test drive and asked if she had gone far enough or would she like to go any further. There was no hard push to sell her the car after the test drive and seemed very fair making the experience enjoyable up to now.

• I cannot believe the 5 stars A and S are getting above. After a 70 mile journey to look at a car I was informed that I would need to pay a £300 non refundable deposit is I wanted to take it for a teast drive, if anything was found to be wrong with the car that £300 was non refundable. That said even if I had paid the £300 it wasn't a holding deposit and there was nothing stopping them selling the car I had placed a non refundable deposit on the minute I walked out of their door. It is true that horse dealers just stopped filing horses teeth and started clocking cars. Just don't bother even looking at a car here. Also, isnt it strange that all those 5* reviews were all placed within 10 days of each other.

• Recently bought a car from L& S Appleyard and found their service to be polite & freindly. After reading the negative review i felt i should share my experience..i was offered a test drive after a few questions from the sales staff after all whats the point in test driving a car that is above your budget. I felt i received a curteous & efficient service, had one small problem that was fixed immediately so i'm very happy and would recommend!

• The reputation of second hand car dealers and with garages in general when dealing with women made it a very daunting prospect when I was looking for a new vehicle. My experience at L & S Appleyard alaid my fears. They were, friendly, helpful and, I believe honest. I would recommend them. Very pleased with my purchase and with the trade in done on my old vehicle.

• I think I've bought 5 or 6 cars from here over the years. Not only that but I have sold a few through them too. My wife goes through a large number of vehicles, gets bored, has accidents, buys big fuelers etc.... They have always been able to sell me cars at good prices compared to other dealers and offload the ones I give them if not on part ex at good prices too. Not many open and honest guys in this business but these guys are. Highly recommended. Oh and you always get a cup of tea!

• Helpful staff and all the cars I viewed were as described to me over the phone. After many hours of traveling to find cars untruthfully described it was a welcome relief to deal with this company. Would recommend them highly well worth the travel.

• I was recommended by a friend to buy a car from L&S Appleyard in South Kirkby and they were incredibly helpful, honest and easy to deal with. I would certainly recommend anyone to buy from them as they are a small family business you get a really personal service. Can't praise them enough!!

• Long list of whats wrong here from rude staff to not allowing a test drive. Non refundable deposit if AA check comes back with 'needs new engine' ect.
