• Braintree KFC Essex I attended the above outlet at 10:46 PM using the drive through, I sat and waited around 4 minutes to get someone to ask about my order, I ordered a ten piece bucket with four bags of chips, by the time I had placed my order there were 5 cars behind me, I was to too go to window 2. I drove to the window a young girl (RIVER) took my £18.99 then told me to wait in the car park and she would bring it out, got my receipt and drove round. In the store were around 10 customers waiting. The customers were ushered out of the store and the front door was locked. I waited until 11.12 and then knocked on the door and asked a young man where my order was, he apologised and said they were busy, (THEY HAD SHUT) Five minutes later he appeared at 11.17 my order arrived in a paper bag, I took it and drove home, around five minutes away. When my wife and I got in we opened the bag to find No Chips and only 8 bits of cold chicken, not what I would expect for the cost of £18.99. My wife phoned the store and spoke to a guy called "Ray" he apologised and said he would speak with the manager, the manager spoke with my wife and said that next time we were passing he would compensate us (NO APOLOGY AT ALL) he gave my wife a code of BRA 0?????? and said that it was logged that our compensation was to be 2 pieces of chicken and four bags of chips, exactly what we had already paid for, and no sign of any apology from him, is that what KFC call compensation, not even a small meal for their error. To be honest I do not think it was an error just ignorance and laziness in a hurry to close. He then Hung up, we had to use our microwave to heat the chicken which was then very dry.

• I just ordered a zinger tower meal and you gave me about 5 chips… is that your usual portion size? Not happy.
