• The best pub in Newhaven by a mile. Long Man best bitter on permanently at £3.20 a pint and 10/10 for quality. Two other good ales (mostly from Sussex breweries) also good quality and low prices. Plus,of course, all the usual lagers and spirits. Since the publicans lottery win the place has been spruced up and now is jolly respectable.

• Brilliant pub for real ales. I've been going in pubs for 50 years and this is the first one I've gone in regularly several times a week, despite it being a bus ride away. Also much more comfortable now that its been done up after their lottery win. the beer is not only the best in the area but also the cheapest.
