• We happened across this pub on a drive and liked the food and atmosphere so much we came back the next night. The locals were so friendly and the and the pub's new managers were fantastic. Recommended meals were the lamb shank, and the Sunday roast. All in all a delightful little find that my family and I really enjoyed. Can't speak to the condition of the rooms but clearly there has been new management since the first reviews were written. The bathrooms and the pub in General was immaculately clean when we visited.

• well we arrived late - after 9 - and the landlord re-opened his kitchen to cook for us. I don't think you can beat that kind of hospitality

• I don't think the person who said this place was dirty was talking about the same place. Not our experience at all. Good accomodation and the welcome by the Landlord was great. A good place to say on a walking trip.

• What a wonderful wellcome we had walked for nine hours in the rouring rain.We found the inn at ten to five in the afternoon to reed on the door opening time five o clock.The door opened by the landlord to the best wellcomb in the world come in and make yourselfs at home. It is a real pub,the room was very comftable and the food was out of this world.Price charged was to cheap, I would recomened this to anybody.

• CRAP. DIRTY. Would not recommend. Food very poor. Bedroom stunk and out dated. On suite shower disgusting. Should be minus star rating. Only stopped because it was on a walking route.
