• We arrived at 7.30pm all 5 of us. Pleasant enough restaurant one member of staff a young girl, she was polite, had no real knowledge about the dishes so after a series of questions which were referred to the kitchen we found that there was no bread of any sort as 'the oven is broke' I have never been to a restaurant which does not offer bread. One of our party has a egg allergy - that took 50% off the menu. Just to be sure we asked 'does the tempura prawns'? Yes (really that defeats the whole idea of tempura). So advocado & prawns (prawns were from container & preserved) and were the worst I have ever been served! We ordered a bottle of red wine and after serving the bottle was put on the table and the screw top replaced! (oh dear!) The food arrived which was very salty - now I like salt so rarely is food too salty for me! Menu unimaginative and pretty basic too! Then as we were eating our sweets I got a waft of cleaner smell and looked around and the girl was cleaning the floor behind the Bar! then at 10.20pm we were told the the restaurant was closing shortly. Mmm just changed management - some people never learn. I predict another change soon. Would I go back - NO!
